What Is A Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker?

Pampered Chef is your one stop manufacturer of kitchen products, tools, recipes and cooking techniques. The company has been making kitchen products since 1980, with a mission to make mealtimes and cooking simpler and time saving.

The Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker is one of the most popular and easiest at-home popcorn makers on the market. This microwave popcorn maker can give you all of the convenience of a bag of microwavable popcorn, but without the chemicals and extra cost of buying lots of bags of popcorn.

Instead, you can just fill the popcorn maker up with popcorn kernels, add in butter or whatever flavorings you prefer, and place it in the microwave for a healthier snack in just a few minutes.

You can find the Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker from the manufacturer here or on Amazon here.

How To Use Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker

So, you’ve got your Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker, but you don’t know where to start. Luckily, we are to help you understand the ins and outs of the popcorn maker, and how to use it. First of all, let’s take a look at all of the components of the Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker.

You have the top cup, the lid and the bowl. Here’s a diagram of all of the parts:

Once you’ve got to know all of the components, you’ll need to put them together to use them. Now, to use your Popcorn Maker, you’ll first have to fully extend the bowl from its collapsed position.

Then, you can measure the right amount of popcorn kernels in the top cup, labeled A in the diagram above. Then, pour those popcorn kernels into the bowl, labeled C in the diagram. Next, you will want to spread the popcorn kernels all over the bottom of the bowl, and place the lid onto the top of the bowl. Then, place the top cup in the lid opening.

After this, we recommend adding some oil or butter into the top cup, as this will add a slightly nutty or slightly burned flavor to the popcorn, but it’s so delicious. With your butter in place, and the kernels good to go, it’s time to place the bowl offset onto the turntable of your microwave.

Then, turn on the microwave and cook according to your preferences. Luckily for you, we have a chart for you to follow below. However, you will want to listen until you can hear the popping slow to 1-2 seconds between the pops.

Once your popcorn has popped and is ready to serve, you will want to remove it from the microwave, but with oven gloves in case the bowl is hot. Keep the gloves on to remove the lid too, incase there is any steam

How Long Do You Cook Popcorn In The Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker?

It’s important to note that cooking times may vary depending on the wattage of your microwave, along with how much popcorn you are making. For the most part, our example cooking times found above are based on you using the highest setting on your microwave.

Popcorn can be made in the Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker in as little as 2 minutes, but the more oil and butter you use, the general rule is that it takes slightly longer to cook. For the most part, with about 2 tbsp of oil, the popcorn will pop after about 3 ½ minutes, and if you use 1 tbsp of butter, it will take about 3 minutes, and 3 ½ minutes if you use 2 tbsp of butter.

Pampered Chef states that it takes only 2 to 2 ½ minutes or until the popping slows to about 1-2 seconds to make the perfect popcorn.

How Much Popcorn Do You Put In The Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker

For the most part, you can add two capfuls of popcorn kernels to the Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker, add oil or butter and place it in the microwave to create about 12 cups of popcorn.

If you’re unsure how much popcorn to use for the Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker, then a good rule of thumb is to fill the top cup with popcorn kernels before pouring them into the actual popcorn maker bowl. This should give you an accurate amount ready for when you fill the bowl for popcorn popping.

To summarize, the Pampered Chef Popcorn Maker is one of the simplest at-home popcorn makers that you can use. All you have to do is fill the top cup with kernels, place them into the bowl, add your butter and put it into the microwave for the most delicious, warm popcorn in just a few minutes!
